5th International Pharmaceutical Competitiveness Conference

The Medicine Producers and Importers Union of Armenia with support of USAID EDMC programme and Industrial Development Fund of Armenia organizes the 5th International Pharmaceutical Competitiveness Conference, which will take place on 14 June, 2013 in the Grant Hall of Celebrations in Yerevan State Medical University. The co-organizers of the conference are the Ministry of Health of the RA, the Ministry of Economy of the RA and Armenian Development Agency.

Attendees of the conference will have an opportunity to get acquainted with recent achievements of Armenian pharmaceutical industry, with pharmaceutical market developments, new projects and reforms initiated by the Government of RA, as well as discuss cooperation perspectives and new markets penetration possibilities with potential partners. Moreover, recent achievements, trends and innovative approaches of international pharmaceutics will be presented by local and international pharmaceutical companies. The event will bring together more than 500 doctors, scientists and employees of local and international pharmaceutical and healthcare professionals.

The conference consists of two sessions. The first session of the conference is called “Pharmaceutical Achievements of Armenia”.  The purpose of the session is to present recent achievements of Armenian pharmaceutical market, new developments, ongoing reforms and development strategies.

The second session of the conference is called “The Best Achievements in International Pharmaceutics”. The representatives of foreign pharmaceutical companies will make presentations on their companies, latest achievements, products, technologies, scientific discoveries and innovative approaches in pharmaceutics, etc.

This will be a good opportunity for local companies to establish contacts with possible partners, strengthen already existing ones and discuss possibilities to export Armenian origin drugs with representatives of drug registrations authorities from different countries.

On the second day of the Conference the guests will have an opportunity to visit Armenian pharmaceutical companies, laboratories and pharmaceutical warehouses to learn about Armenian partners’ capacities and make practical recommendations. These visits will be accompanied with round-table discussions and focus group meetings with participation of local and foreign companies’ representatives/specialists, state officials and international experts.

In parallel with the conference, the annual specialized exhibition of pharmaceutics “Pharma Armenia EXPO” will be held. This serves as an unprecedented opportunity for local and foreign pharmaceutical companies or their representatives to present their recent achievements and products.
