On 9th of December, 2011 took place a workshop on "The EU Integration and Development Prospects for Armenia - Medicine to EU and CIS market: main requirements and procedures". The workshop was organized by MPI Union together with CABIR Alumni Council in the frames of the project "Perspectives of EU integration and development of Armenia" sponsored by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) in collaboration with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies (Geneva, Switzerland).

The representatives of Armenian medicine producing companies and CABIR Alumni Council took participation in this event. The projects suggested by international organizations and foreign countries in the pharmaceutical sector, the procedure of applying for these projects, Generalised System of Preferences (GSP+) proposed to developing countries, the website "EU Exporthelp desk" aimed to boost the export to the EU and the opportunities of using the website, as well as the main requirements of importing medicine to the EU were represented during the workshop.

The opportunities of export promotion and existing problems were discussed during the event.
